You don’t want to miss the 2008 International Tennis Symposium with all its educational and networking opportunities. Nearly 1,000 coaches from more than 50 countries attend each year, affording you the best tennis forum in the industry!
Your symposium registration includes all Symposium presentations, as well as the Awards Banquet, Gamma Casino Night Dinner, the Kaelin Dinner & Fashion Show and the Recognition Breakfast. And dust off your blue suede shoes for a rocking 50’s Sock Hop and dinner from Head. That’s a lot of education, meals and fun for a little registration fee!
Also included is the Tennis Trade Show where more than 40 tennis equipment manufacturers and organizations exhibit their latest offerings. You can even try out new racquets and more on the adjacent DecoTurf Demo Court!
In addition to the 50-plus Symposium presentations by such industry notables as Nick Saviano, Pat Etcheberry, Don Henson, Chuck Kriese, Dr. Jim Loehr , Dave Miley of the ITF, Dr. Anne Smith, Bill Mountford of the LTA and Dr. Bryce Young, we also offer Professional Development Courses you can take for an additional fee. These courses each run about three hours, so make sure your tournament matches don’t conflict.

Speaking of the tournament, the $25,000 Championships is your chance to PLAY tennis for a change. Show your competitive skills and perhaps take home some prize money!
PTR even offers a Spouse/Guest package to keep your honey busy while you attend the on-court and classroom presentations. We do not have children’s activities during the day, but we do offer a children’s program while you’re enjoying the evening parties.

must be registered for the Symposium to enter the tournament.

- Singles play
begins Saturday, February 16th, with some matches to begin at 9am. Singles draws of 8 or less will not begin play until February 17th; however, that can not be determined until after the entry deadline on February 4th, so please plan accordingly.
- Doubles events will begin on Sunday, February 17th, with some matches to begin at 9am. Draws larger than 16 teams will be expected to play two rounds on the first day.
- Mixed doubles will begin play Monday, February 18th. Draws larger than 8 teams may be expected to play 2 rounds the first day.
- Players may enter a total of 2 events: Singles/Doubles; Singles/Mixed Doubles; or Doubles/Mixed Doubles (No Doubles/Doubles)
- If
you do not have a partner for a doubles event, we will
attempt to locate one for you; however, there is NO GUARANTEE!!
- All
matches are the best-of-three sets, with a Match Tiebreak
played in lieu of the third set. Divisions may be combined
if fewer than 4 entrants. If fewer than 4 entrants, gift
certificates will be awarded in lieu of prize money.
- All
events on CLAY
- Saturday, Sunday & Monday matches play may be off-site, so players will need to have transportation.
