Methodist University, an NCAA Division III institution is accepting applications for the Assistant Tennis Coach / Professional Tennis Management Program Coordinator position. This position coach will be responsible for coaching/player development, recruiting and retention of qualified students and student-athletes, academic monitoring, program administrative operations in our Professional Tennis Management Program, scheduling, assist with practice and game organization, serving as an academic success coach through our One Stop Program and other duties as assigned within all University, NCAA, and USA South Conference rules, regulations, guidelines and philosophies.
Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree and previous collegiate coaching and demonstrated experience in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes at the NCAA Division III level preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential for collaborative leadership, a high degree of personal initiative, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusiveness. Candidates must have the ability to relate effectively to current and prospective student-athletes, exhibit strong time management and organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as knowledge of NCAA and USA South Conference rules and regulations. Duties will require travel and often occur during nights and weekends.
