Chapel Hill Tennis Club (CHTC) is looking for an individual to lead the year-round racquets program. The position is full time and highly visible. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, a leadership presence with staff, members, and guests, and a strong desire to improve membership experience. The Racquets Director (RD) is expected to be a leader on and off the court, and actively contribute to a work culture that prides itself on professionalism and respect. The RD is expected to deliver a first-class racquets experience, while working closely with the General Manager, tennis professionals, and the Racquets Committee to elevate the member experience both on and off the court. The RD will oversee adult, junior, competitive, and social programs. Established in 1967, CHTC is a non-profit, member-owned organization with a rich history as a leading area tennis and social club. CHTC offers its 500+ members a friendly, family-oriented community, as well as fun, physical recreation. The club sits on 19+ acres and consists of 18 HarTru  tennis courts, 6 hard tennis courts, 2 paddle tennis courts, 4 indoor tennis courts, and 12 multiuse pickleball courts (4 outdoor, 8 indoor). An eight-lane swimming pool with diving area and café operates between Memorial Day and Labor Day. The club house has a fitness studio, pro shop, and onsite racket stringing. Racquets Director essential duties and responsibilities:  Connect with all levels of racquet play and drive the club towards improving member satisfaction.  Oversee the tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis professional staff. Drive a culture of continuous personal and professional development. Improve the coaching levels of all pros.  Serve as primary contact for questions regarding all tennis instructional programs (e.g., clinics, camps, team practices).  Create consistent coaching/lesson programming that is current and fresh, and which complies with USPTA/USPTR/USTA standards.  Develop and promote the club social tennis programming.  Provide approximately 20 hours/week of on court coaching.  Oversee the racquet lesson and clinic billing process.  Work with maintenance team to ensure court standards are maintained.
