Dear PTR Family,
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Pat Van der Meer, beloved wife of PTR Founder Dennis Van der Meer, and a remarkable leader whose compassion, strength, and vision helped shape the heart of our organization.
Pat was more than a partner to Dennis; she was a driving force behind the mission they built together. In addition to PTR, Pat also co-founded Van der Meer Tennis alongside Dennis, a cornerstone in coach and player development that has trained thousands around the world. Her leadership and commitment to excellence helped establish the academy to what it is today.
With unwavering dedication, she carried forward Dennis’ vision after his passing. Her tireless work ensured that coaches and players alike could continue to find inspiration, education, and a sense of belonging through the sport her and Dennis so deeply loved.
Pat embodied the best of what PTR stands for: an enduring belief in the power of tennis to change lives. Her impact on our organization and on each of us who share this calling will continue to resonate for generations.
Together, Pat and Dennis built a legacy that lives on through every coach and player who shares their love of the sport. We extend our deepest condolences to Pat’s family and all who were fortunate to know her.
