This position works under the direction of the Vice President of Tennis and Business Development to design, organize, and deliver high-quality on-court adult tennis programs and events. The Director of Adult Tennis will be responsible for overseeing the marketing and administration of the adult tennis initiative. This position will have a high level of interaction with adult players and guests and will require exceptional customer service and organizational skills. In addition, this position requires the Director of Adult Tennis to work adult clinics 20 hours per week and 15+ hours of privates with the ability to work junior clinics if desired. Salary based upon experience is $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year with earning potential of $120,000.00 per year. Essential Responsibilities: ● On Court Coaching: Responsible for leading coaches on court during all Club adult on-court programming. o Oversee other scheduled pros and evaluate their conduct during adult clinics. o Report daily to the VP of Tennis regarding the attendance/tardiness/professional conduct of all coaches. o Coaching Expectations: 20 hours Adult/15 hours Admin/additional Private and Clinic earning potential. ● Provide adult programming at the Club for all levels including private lessons, clinics and corporate leagues. ● Serve as point of contact for all adult tennis inquiries. ● Provide exemplary customer service to all guests. ● Manage adult users in the program user database. ● Schedule and monitor court rentals. ● Track compliance with charitable contribution and volunteerism policy. Outreach and Cultivation: ● Develop marketing and promotional materials in collaboration with the Club’s marketing team. ● Plan and oversee targeted outreach efforts to the local tennis community. ● Identify potential donors for further cultivation. ● Initiates, directs and promotes tennis clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests. Administrative Duties: ● Perform duties including but not limited to answering calls, processing registrations and payments, and greeting and directing visitors. ● Unlock and open Center weekday mornings. ● Work with the VP of Tennis on creating and managing annual budget. ● Work with VP of Tennis to provide periodic on-court and off-court professional training of coaching staff to ensure a consistent message and uniformity of basic techniques and point play strategies taught in clinics and private lessons at each stage of development. ● Monitor clinics and provide feedback to coaches. ● Attend weekly staff meetings. ● Attend bi-monthly meetings with VP of Tennis to: ○ Communicate budget issues and target enrollment for clinics and camps. ○ Communicate general clinic updates/issues. ○ Communicate/collaborate on parent meeting agendas. ○ Communicate/coordinate on special program offerings. Additional Responsibilities: ● Assist with maintaining the tennis courts, equipment and common areas. ● Participate in relevant meetings, trainings, professional development activities, community program recruiting and special events. ● Assist with donor cultivation as opportunities arise. Qualifications: Required: ● Bachelor’s degree. ● Minimum of four years of tournament-level tennis coaching experience and competitive tennis. ● High level of initiative, energy and entrepreneurial instincts. ● Proven ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally, clearly and persuasively. ● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. ● Ability to manage fellow coaches. ● Capacity to manage groups of high-level players efficiently and effectively and to offer constructive feedback to participants. ● Ability to interact well with youth and families. ● Well-developed capacity to work effectively in a dynamic team setting with a diverse group of passionate people. *How to apply:* Please send your resume to the email provided.
