We are currently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Director of Platform Tennis and Pickleball to lead our platform tennis and pickleball programs and continue our tradition of excellence. Job Description: As Chevy Chase Club’s Director of Platform Tennis and Pickleball, you will have the unique opportunity to administer and oversee all aspects of the Club’s adult and junior platform tennis and pickleball instructional programs. In addition to leading these established programs, the Director of Platform Tennis and Pickleball will work to enhance the program, creating vibrant and engaging activities that grow participation, accentuate player experiences, and elevate our racquets program to meet the high standards expected by our membership. As the Platform Tennis and Pickleball Liaison, you will serve as the ambassador to the membership, promoting a sense of community within the Platform Tennis and Pickleball programs. Your role will involve strategic planning and growth in collaboration with the Director of Racquets, building solid relationships with adult and junior players, tailoring programs based on skill level assessment, and administering all platform tennis and pickleball programs, tournaments, and events. In addition to leadership roles in platform tennis and pickleball, your role will include teaching tennis and assisting with tennis programs and events as necessary. Qualified candidates will possess the following: · A minimum of 5 years of progressive growth and experience in (preferably) a private country club with multi-dimensional operations · Strong communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and cooperative teamwork · Genuine passion for teaching and continuous learning combined with high energy and enthusiasm, on and off the court · Excellent organizational, technological, and time management skills · A 5.0 playing competency in tennis, a PTI of 10 or lower in platform tennis and a sound ability to play and teach pickleball · Innovative mindset to champion new ideas and initiatives to improve member experiences Education and Certifications · Bachelor’s Degree · USPTA/PTR Professional, PPTR (Professional Platform Tennis Registry) and PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) certification If you are a passionate and experienced platform tennis and pickleball professional ready to take on a leadership role at an exclusive country club, we invite you to submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience to Alyson Smith, Director of Racquets, at asmith@chevychaseclub.org We look forward to welcoming you to our legacy of excellence!
