Job Opportunity: Head Racquets Professional at Exclusive Private Club We are thrilled to announce an opening for a new leadership position as the Head Racquets Professional at our prestigious Pittsburgh Field Club. About Us: Founded in 1882 and located in the heart of Fox Chapel in suburban Pittsburgh, our family-focused club offers a haven for individuals seeking the finest in recreational and social experiences. With a wide range of facilities and a commitment to excellence, we pride ourselves on providing our esteemed members with unparalleled service and an inviting atmosphere. Position Overview: As the Head Racquets Professional, you will take the lead in re-shaping and enhancing our racquet sports program. You will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging environment that fosters increased participation, skill development, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among our members. Your expertise will drive the success of our three racquet sports: tennis, platform tennis and pickleball and ensure that our club maintains its reputation as a premier destination for athletic excellence. We offer five har-tru tennis courts, four platform tennis courts, and four pickleball courts that are scheduled to be built in 2024. Key Responsibilities: (Formal Job Description will be presented in the next phase of the process.) • Develop and implement a comprehensive racquet sports program catering to players of all skill levels and age groups. • Provide high-quality individual and group instruction sessions to enhance members’ playing abilities. • Develop, organize, and oversee regular tournaments, matches, leagues, and events that promote friendly competition and a sense of community. • Elevate and maintain the racquet sports facilities to the highest standards, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality. • Foster positive relationships and communicate frequently with members by delivering exceptional customer service and encouraging participation while addressing their individual needs. • Collaborate with other club departments to integrate racquet sports into the overall club experience while enhancing a well-rounded membership offering. Qualifications-Preferred: • Country Club Experience. • Professional instruction certifications in tennis, platform tennis and pickleball. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Collegiate tennis playing experience. • Two-plus years of tennis and platform tennis professional instruction experience. • Experience leading tennis junior development programs. • Knowledge of and operational experience with har-tru tennis court maintenance. • Experience in retail sales of racquets, paddles, sporting equipment and attire.
