Head Racquets Professional

POSITION OBJECTIVE The Head Racquets Professional supports and works closely with the Director of Racquets to oversee all aspects of the tennis/pickleball program. The Professional instructs, organizes, plans, promotes and develops tennis/pickleball programs, and supervises the operation and maintenance of the Racquet Center. They will also assist the Director of Racquets with daily tasks, performs regular maintenance of the courts and is also tasked with pro shop hours. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends holidays and split shifts. • Instructs tennis/pickleball at varying levels and ages in a progressive and educational manner. • Head Racquets Professional has the authority to: schedule private and group lessons charge and collect fees execute the policies rules and regulations of the facility. • Contributes in the creation of new concepts for various tennis/pickleball events and orchestrates the communication promotion and execution of these events. • Is responsible for court maintenance on specified days and working pro shop hours. • Provides the training and supervision of court maintenance staff on all maintenance procedures to ensure follow-through to established standards. • Oversee court reservation program to ensure equitable and amenable allocation of court usage for members guests tournaments lessons and other events. • Encourages Member participation in tennis/pickleball programs. • Expected to attend seminars and workshops for continued professional development and certification. • Assists the Director of Racquets in additional program areas as needed. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience. • Minimum of two years professional experience. • Must be PTR Level 2 certified or equivalent. • Pickleball certification preferred. • Thorough knowledge of concepts and background of teaching tennis/pickleball in qualified and quality facility. Thorough knowledge of tournaments, leagues and demonstrations. SPECIAL SKILLS • Must have good social skills be able to work effectively with adults and children a good mixer with leadership capabilities communicates well ability to write and create reports. • A proven track record of a dynamic member interaction in a club environment. • Ability to foster teamwork. • Oral communication skills. • Ability to build collaborative relationships. Attentiveness. • Organizational skills. Interpersonal skills. • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Physical Stamina.
