The Head Racquet Sports Professional at the Club at Sunset is an enthusiastic, energetic self-starter. A prominent level of skill and playing experience is necessary. The Head Racquet Sports Professional is responsible for group and private racquet sports instruction for all member age groups and will grow the program and assist with program administration. The racquet sports Professional will help the director manage all racquet sports programming including clinics, activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, court reservations, instructional lessons, and teaching staff. Job Expectations Lead by example and promote the club’s core values, characteristics and decision making. Assist the Director of Racquet Sports in coordinating all court activities, tournaments, special events, and facility usage. Assist the Director of Racquet Sports with the design of lessons, clinics, and programs that cater to the demographics of the Racquet Club. Provide on court instruction of private and group racquet lessons for all ages and levels. Create, develop, implement and evaluate the success of racquet programs. Keep accurate records and descriptions of all programs. Promote and actively work to increase participation in racquet programs. Create an exciting, fun, safe, inclusive environment for members and nonmembers. Assist with organizing play, lesson schedules, tournaments, interclub and social events. Assess players skill levels and progress. Plan junior camps as needed. Greet members and nonmembers and assist with introducing and selling racquet programs, clinics, tournaments and other special events as well as rates and packages. Assist with routine court maintenance as needed. Attend department meetings. Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports.
