Racquet Sports Professional

Racquet Sports Professional Ideal candidates are extremely organized, highly motivated, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Racquet Sports Professional provides the ultimate racquet sports experience by providing the highest quality racquet sports instruction and customer service. Additionally, they teach various racquet sports programs including junior programs, lessons, special events and clinics. Previous racquet sports instruction experience is required for the position. Our team has made a conscious effort to ensure strong protocols are in place to keep you and our patrons safe, on and off the property, so you can focus on the camper experience and camaraderie. Responsibilities • Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players • Assists in the promotion of and conducting racquet sports clinics, private lessons, special events and programs to attract and maintain members’/guests’ racquet sports interests • Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive racquet sports lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement in racquet sports • Assists in supervising play and ensure proper charging of fees • Ensure students understand racquet sports rules, scoring procedures, safety rules and racquet sports etiquette • Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property • Performs racquet stringing • Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance • Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity and professionalism • Performs other duties as required Education and Experience Requirements • Minimum 1-year racquet sports instruction experience required • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the staff may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment used are in English) • Skill level equivalent to a minimum 4.0 USTA rating Working Conditions • Frequently stands and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears • Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches • Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions • Noise level is moderate About Troon Troon started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world’s largest professional club management company.
