The Tennis Professional is responsible for providing high-quality tennis instruction to players of all ages and skill levels, promoting the sport, and supporting the overall operation of the tennis program. This role involves teaching private lessons, group clinics, and assisting with junior and adult programs while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide private and group tennis lessons for juniors and adults, ensuring tailored instruction to meet each player’s needs.
Assist in organizing and running tennis programs, including leagues, clinics, camps, and tournaments.
Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a love for the game among participants.
Assist with player development plans and offer feedback to help students improve their skills and reach their goals.
Help manage court reservations, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Actively engage in the promotion of tennis programs, including outreach efforts to attract new players.
Maintain equipment and court conditions, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests, handling inquiries, complaints, and suggestions professionally.
Collaborate with other tennis professionals and staff to ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated approach to programming and events.
Qualifications:
USPTA or PTR certification preferred.
Previous experience teaching tennis to players of varying skill levels, with a demonstrated track record of success.
Strong playing ability with an understanding of modern tennis techniques, strategies, and fitness training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate players.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and passionate about tennis and coaching.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move on the court for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry equipment, including tennis ball baskets and teaching aids.
