Tennis Professional

1.)Abides by the philosophy and adheres to the system procedures of the Tennis Department as set forth in the operations manual. 2.) Provides quality instruction and presence in clinics – practices – privates and semi-private lessons. NTRP hitting sessions – special events like meet the pro – junior special events – mixed doubles socials as set forth by the tennis department. 3.) Collaborates and implements curriculum for adult and junior clinics insuring the proper progression of participants. 4.) Collaborates in the development of and implements curriculum for camps – team practices – new programs – special events. 5.) Collaborates on the appropriate progression of players to higher levels of play in the GKTA inter club and USTA leagues. 6.) Assists in the running of tournaments and special events as required. 7.) Provides off court service to members by answering general inquiries – insuring proper placement level in clinics – leagues – activities – special events – tournaments. Makes phone calls to members to fill up programs that need more participants. Attend and coach local and playoff JTT matches as well as at local tournaments is expected. 8.) Attends and actively participates in tennis department staff meetings as required. 9.) Actively promotes and markets tennis programs to raise awareness and increase participation. 10.) Assist with tennis operations as related to indoor and outdoor courts maintenance – maintaining water on courts – etc. 11.) Provides front desk coverage as needed in absence of desk receptionist. 12.) Assumes other administrative duties as required by the needs of the department. 13.) Submits a weekly payroll report by 10am on Fridays. 14.) Reports tennis facility maintenance issues to Tennis Manager. 15.) Reports to Tennis Manager. 16.) Actively involved in Continuing Education – attending at least one event per year. Other requirements : High School Graduate Must have at least 2 years of experience as a teaching professional. RSPA and/or PTR certification required Minimum weekly on court hours – 32 (Not to exceed 40 hours including admin hours) Max weekly admin hours 5
