Position Overview:
Abrie du Plooy Tennis Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Tennis Professional to join our dynamic team. As part of our mission to foster a love for tennis while helping players achieve their full potential, we are looking for someone with a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire players of all ages and skill levels. This role involves providing high-quality tennis instruction, assisting with program development, and contributing to the academy’s positive and growth-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instruction & Coaching:
Deliver exceptional private and group tennis lessons to players of all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes.
Lead clinics, drills, and team practices that align with the academy’s philosophy of player development.
2. Program Development:
Support the creation, organization, and execution of tennis programs, including junior development, adult clinics, tournaments, and special events.
Implement innovative training techniques to enhance player growth and engagement.
3. Player Development:
Evaluate players’ skills and develop customized improvement plans to meet their goals.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages skill development and enjoyment of the sport.
4. Facility & Administrative Support:
Help manage on-court operations, including equipment setup and facility maintenance.
Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance records, and player progress reports.
5. Community Engagement:
Represent Abrie du Plooy Tennis Academy professionally at all times, promoting the academy’s programs and mission.
Build relationships with players, parents, and the local tennis community to expand the academy’s reach and impact.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Tennis Professional or Coach (minimum [Insert years] preferred).
Certification from a recognized tennis organization (e.g., USPTA, PTR) is highly desirable.
