PTR Foundation’s Learn with Legends is a virtual conference led by the distinguished International Master Pros.

PTR established the International Master Professional designation to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to PTR and the game of tennis throughout their careers.

It is PTR’s belief that an International Master Professional should be a strong representative of PTR and the sport – to be known as a master talent developer, exhibit the highest ethical behavior on and off the court, and one who displays the highest standards of excellence in the tennis profession.

The event costs $47 and the proceeds will go to the PTR Foundation, helping us continue our mission of making tennis available to everyone. Once you have registered, please feel free to bring your player/kid to the conference for free.

Tina Tharp is the Men’s and Women’s Head Tennis Coach at West Chester University.

Tina Tharp is the Men’s and Women’s Head Tennis Coach at West Chester University. In her sixteenth year in this position, Coach Tharp has been named the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Coach of the Year no less than seven times taking home the award in 2023, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2011 and 2010.  In 2021, she was recognized as an International Master Professional, one of only 65 in the world and only the 6th female to receive such a designation by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).  In 2015, she received the Edwin J. Faulkner Award as the USTA Middle States Coach of the Year, as well as the PATD (Philadelphia Area Tennis District) College Coach of the Year.  Additionally, Tharp was recognized in 2011 by USTA Middle States for her USTA/ITA Campus & Community outreach. She has obtained Professional certification with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and as an Elite Professional with the UPSTA (United States Professional Tennis Association).  She is an accredited USTA Tennis High Performance Coach who has been nationally recognized for her successful and innovative programming skills. Her highly acclaimed article “How to Establish a Developmental Plan” published in the February 2003 issue of TennisPro magazine has been translated in seven languages. Coach Tharp was formerly the Head Tennis professional at the Cleveland Country Club in Shelby, NC and also held concurrent Head Professional positions at Overbrook Golf Club and Radnor Racquet Club in Bryn Mawr, PA.
