Position Title: Coordinator, Marketing & Communications Report To: Manager,Marketing and Communications Classification: Exempt A. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To assist USTA Northern in its mission to promote and develop the growth of tennis with specific responsibilities related to the Engagement Department and marketing/membership team. B. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create written content for the USTA Northern website and once-yearly print publications Maintain the USTA Northern social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), assist in the creation of a content calendar and source/generate content Support USTA Northern programming with graphic design (flyers, promotional materials, etc) as needed Update and manage the USTA Northern website as needed Assist in email newsletter scheduling and content sourcing Shoot photo or video at events for use in organization communications or marketing materials C. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Consistent publishing of content to USTA Northern website Develop content calendar and maintain active presence on USTA Northern social media channels Improve select website metrics and consumer satisfaction with website content Develop steady cadence of email newsletters to various audience D. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not Applicable E. INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: USTA Northern Staff F. EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: USTA Staff, Community Tennis Associations and Member Organizations, Section-specific Media G. TRAVEL DEMANDS: Required – Occasional travel to area events for photo/video needs Possible – Travel out of section for work conferences, annual/semiannual meetings H. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or similar experience Excellent communication skills and knowledge of AP Style Knowledge of social media best practices Graphic design experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge of CMS, preferably Adobe Experience Manager Experience with email newsletter platforms, preferably Adobe Campaign and MailChimp Strong attention to detail and commitment to being ahead of the curve I. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Environmental conditions of outdoor events/work environments may vary, ie: Low/High temperatures.
