The historic Hartford Tennis Club is looking to fill the position of Director of Tennis. The 400 member Hartford Tennis Club is the premier outdoor racquet club in Central Connecticut for over 70 years featuring a vibrant tennis-only environment for members of all ages and skill levels. We seek an enthusiastic and innovative USTA/USPTA/PTR Director of Tennis to join our passionate tennis community. With an emphasis on the role of General Manager, the Director of Tennis will oversee Club activity and maintenance during the summer season as well as ensuring the smooth opening and closing of the Club in spring and fall. They will supervise the club teaching professionals and hourly staff, and oversee maintenance of our 12 beautiful Har-Tru courts, including coordinating contractor bids, outside vendors, and suppliers. The Director of Tennis will oversee Club events and tournaments and assist in promoting the Club and membership programs. They will provide lessons and clinics for specific skill development, manage junior programs, provide racquet stringing and furnish overall support to new members. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a salary in addition to earning potential from lessons, clinics, and related services.
