Pickleballerz in Chantilly, VA is looking for a contract (IRS 1099) Pickleball Teaching Professional/Coach. Opportunities to work in other capacities, including Program Assistant and Member Services, are available. Position Overview: The Pickleball Teaching Professional/Coach will be responsible for private, semi-private, and group pickleball instruction for Intermediate to Advance Level Players. A 4.5+ DUPR rating is required. Desired Experience & Qualifications: ● Minimum 2-year college degree preferred. ● One year experience as a pickleball teaching professional. ● Available weekdays and weekends, as needed ● Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a PPR certification. ● Ability to motivate students and offer dynamic pickleball instruction ● Outgoing personality and the ability to create and maintain a positive environment through interaction and communication with members, guests, and staff ● Have an innate goal-driven attitude with ambition for success! Duties and Responsibilities: ● Teach dynamic pickleball lessons to individual or small groups based on need. ● Create and schedule lessons with members and guests and book courts with club staff as needed. ● Work with the Pickleball Director to set up and work club organized clinics. ● Maintain a professional certification, including participating in workshops and clinics designed to maintain such certification. ● Write and/or demonstrate tips and advice for Pickleballerz newsletter and social-media pages. ● Reports to the Pickleball Director.
