Award Descriptions & Requirements
Minimum 5 years of service in PTR.
This award is presented to a PTR Professional who has displayed the highest standards of conduct and service to both tennis & PTR throughout 2009.
Areas of consideration: service to PTR; national tennis association; special clinics or promotional programs; participation in national, section, or local tennis organizations; personal or student rankings/performances; exhibition or speaking engagements; publication of articles; tournaments; coaching; tennis-related volunteer/community service; and continued education.
Minimum 2 years of service in PTR.
This award is presented by the PTR Foundation to a member who has displayed unselfish work in the promotion of tennis that primarily impacts disadvantaged players, or in some way benefits others within the community (fundraisers, etc.).
Areas of consideration: tennis-related community/volunteer service; free clinics/exhibitions; charity events; and tournaments.

This award is presented to a member who has displayed the highest standards in the coaching of players or teams, displayed not only in their accomplishments as players but in their character as well.
Areas of consideration: team accomplishments, player’s rankings, the academic performance of players/team; community/school service; speaking engagements/public relations performance; published works.
Minimum 2 years of service in PTR.
Presented to a PTR Tester who has been active in the recruiting, training, and testing of new members for PTR
Areas of consideration: promotion of PTR to pros and coaches in the area; symposia attendance; workshops; recruiting and training of new members.
Minimum 2 years of service in PTR.
Presented to a PTR member who has excelled in his/her playing performance while displaying the ideals of PTRsportsmanship.
Areas of consideration: any ranking – local, state, regional, or national; tournament performance – individual or team.
Presented to a PTR Wheelchair teaching professional and/or player who has demonstrated exceptional efforts to grow the sport of wheelchair tennis.
Areas of consideration: service to PTR; national tennis association; special clinics or promotional programs; participation in national, sectional, or local tennis organizations; personal or student rankings/performances; exhibitions or speaking engagements; publication of articles; tournaments; coaching; tennis-related volunteer/community service; and continued education.
(USA Only – Minimum 2 years of service in PTR)
Awarded to a member who has demonstrated exceptional skill and loyalty in his/her efforts to support and implement programs of PTR, USTA, and TIU.
Areas of Consideration: PTR/USTA conference attendance; promotion of PTR/USTA; clinician work; speaking engagements or publication of articles; PTR/USTA workshops or divisional meetings; USTA Schools Program; USTA League involvement
Recognizing the tennis facility that demonstrates a commitment to the promotion of tennis and is supportive of PTR members.
Areas of consideration: hosting PTR educational activities; community service, tournaments, exhibitions, charity and sectional events.
This award is presented to a PTR member in the United States who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR.
